Project Record

Everything comes
back around.

Three projects. Each one shows the full cycle — incoming waste, processing, graded output, final delivery.

Incoming waste920 tonnes of reinforced concrete slabs — 1960s housing estate clearance, Penhill
ProcessingHydraulic jaw crusher · magnetic rebar separation · multi-deck screen to specification
Graded output800 tonnes 6F2 sub-base
Delivered toNew-build housing foundation, North Swindon — 3.2 miles

Our hydraulic jaw crusher processed 920 tonnes of post-demolition reinforced concrete over four working days. After magnetic separation to remove rebar, the material was screened to 6F2 specification — clean, angular, well-graded. The developer's groundworker collected the first load before we had finished processing the last. Landfill cost to the demolition contractor: zero.

Incoming waste1,100 tonnes of asphalt and concrete — multi-storey car park demolition, town centre
ProcessingHydraulic jaw crusher · magnetic rebar separation · multi-deck screen to specification
Graded output940 tonnes MOT Type 1
Delivered toNew secondary school sub-base, Caversham — 12 miles

The car park's concrete deck was separated from its asphalt wearing course before processing. Concrete was crushed to MOT Type 1 specification and tested to BS EN 13242 — particle size distribution, flakiness index, Los Angeles coefficient. All within spec, all documented. The school's civil engineer received the test certificates before the first load arrived. Twelve miles from source to slab. The sustainability report wrote itself.

Incoming waste680 tonnes of mass concrete foundations — 1970s industrial unit, Aztec West
ProcessingHydraulic jaw crusher · magnetic rebar separation · multi-deck screen to specification
Graded output620 tonnes crusher run + 40 tonnes pipe bedding
Delivered toGroundworks contractor, three active sites across BS32

Mass concrete without rebar processes fast and clean. The Bristol batch yielded an unusually high proportion of fine material — ideal for pipe bedding after secondary screening. We split the output across two grades and called the groundworker before he'd finished his site visit. The crusher run went to his access track. The pipe bedding went to his drainage contractor two days later. One skip, two products, three sites.
